Author's Notes: This fic deals with a situation of dubious consent, resulting in awkwardness, hurt, a potential loss of trust, and then later fluff and schmoop. Also, all the stuff about which exits in Los Angeles lead where, I completely made up. I have NO idea about the physical layout of L.A. honestly, but my brain gave me a mental layout and that's what I use.

Warnings: This story involves sexualizing an eating disorder. If you have a problem with this, I would advise you not to read. This is one of my favorite of the stories I've written, and would love to get people reading it. But I don't want it to be a surprise, and therefore offend.
Ratings: I'd give this hard PG13, just cause of themes.
Summary: Run and catch, run and catch, the lamb is caught in the blackberry patch. My dearest, the moon has been singing to me, telling me all of your terrible deeds.
Author's Notes: This is a a dark story dealing with an eating disorder, it's pretty short, pretty painfully blunt, and it's pretty quick to the point. It's dark, and as another reviewer said, maybe even verging on macabre, but there's nothing graphic in it, but for some it may be a liiiiiittle psychologically disturbing. I'm nervous as to how this might be received. So here's hoping. [fingers crossed]

This story is one I wrote a VERY long time ago and holds a special place in my heart when I myself was battling an eating disorder, and it's a bit of a social commentary on how easily we sexualize such grave problems. But this is also a pretty dear-to-me story because it honestly was one of the first stories in which I was able to really begin to define my style of writing. So I do hold this story pretty closely. And I would love to know what you thought of it.

I picture it more as an intense friendship that during the course of all this, has evolved into something deeper. But I had a few readers that saw this as something that would come from two people who were already romantically involved. So I was just curious. But to meeee, when I was writing it, I visualized the sex scene as really their first time with each other. Did you guys see that too? Or no? Either way is fine, really, it could go either way, I was just curious.

So that bit about the bird was my doing, not at all from the actual story. But hey. Shh. Also, about the whole asthma thing. I don't know if Jeff actually does have asthma, but he does in this story because this wasn't originally written for this fandom, but the asthma was written as a fairly important factor. So, without it, the story would be lacking, so I couldn't just change it. So we're just going to say that he has asthma (and smokes, but whatevs).

Also, 'poistaa' means 'to eliminate' or 'exterminate' in Finnish. I would have used Russian instead of Finnish, but as far as pronunciation and comprehension for English speakers, Finnish uses an alphabet closer to English than Russian.... Honestly, I wouldn't and know how to pronounce Устранить... So saying/reading "poistaa" is easier than "Устранить".

One of the most confusing and appalling unsolved mysteries to date [in my personal opinion]. No one really knows what happened; there have been countless accounts and theories, many of them probably extremely exaggerated, but this is my interpretation, with some slash in there. :)
