I'm probably going to write this myself when I finish my current story, but I like the idea so much that I want to see what other people might do with it.

Here's the idea: You start out in a world that's pretty much as things are, aka if we're talking about Colin, Ryan, Greg, Wayne or Chip, they're married, most likely with children, living in all these different states and cities, etc. Somehow someone gets transported to an alternate universe where they're in a relationship with another one of the guys and has been for years and is openly gay and the whole world knows about the relationship... Whoever was transported was replaced by their counterpart. Throughout the course of the story you'd switch back and forth between the two universes and the two guys that were already a couple would end up swaying the other two to start something.

Before I go any further, some of you may be thinking that this sounds familiar. That would be because I got the idea while reading Crossing the Line by Thesseli. I'm not trying to copy her idea. Her story was a crossover and the two couples involved were not the same. But you should read it. It's fun. ^_^

Anyway, so random stuff about the idea: I'm not specifying a couple because that'd be silly. ^_^ The people who've switched can either attempt to hide the fact that they're not in Kansas anymore or could just let their partner know everything -- whatever you think is more fun. I really don't want to put any limitations on the idea because I'd rather see where people take it. So yeah. That's it. ^_^

Brilliant challenge, I hope someone picks it up! I'll be adding that to the memories now. :D

Have you ever read Parallel by Heather? It's similar and also VERY good. I can send it to you or post it if you want.

I have a bunch of other fics by her that I also found in the backlog of messages here. Would you like those as well?

Yes! You so are! I just commented on this to your other comment - but I searched through ALL the backlog of comments since the opening of this community and was pleased to discover a few other fics by her - Parallel being one of them - the other two are abandon and vita and there might be one more, but I'm not sure. Theres a bunch of other unfinished, and some finished, fics from the backlog if you want some of those as well. I save all my favorite fics as .docs on my computer so that if I lose internet I still have them to read, so if you want any it's not problem for me to send them!

Haha. You could, but I'll warn you it could take hours to find stuff, or at least, to sort through everything. If you want me to send it it's no problem - although I really only saved Col/Ry stuff - theres tons of other pairings in there too that you might be interested in that I didn't save.

You are *so* welcome! I love her work so much too. Have you read Vita and Abandon by her? They're also really really good. Vita is one of my favorite fics ever I think. I don't know why, really, but I love it so much. I can get those to you as well if you want.

This gets you up through H in alphabetical order of fic titles. I'm trying to space them out a bit in how I send them, because I know I read them all at once and now I'm left wishing there were still new fics. But alas, I've read nearly every single WL fic out there - or at least all the COL/Ry ones - and now theres no more new ones. But I know how happy I was when I found these, so I hope you enjoy them, and when you finish them let me know and I'll send more. :D

You're quite welcome! I can't wait to read your story! Who is in it, if it's not Col/Ry, just out of curiosity?

The thing I liked about Vita was the way that he and Ryan were interacting the whole time and how Ryan was his safety net the whole time, and how Ryan wasnt really sleeping. I dunno - I mean, the whole thing was excellent, but that is what drew me to it specifically. But yeah, Colin was a little more crazy than I'd ever picture him. Hehe.

That, of course, was wonderful. The hands. But my *favorite* moment was when Ryan goes, "you know I can feel you shaking, right?" I don't know what specifically stands out about that, but that moment just...I love it. Hehe.

Yeah, that sounds like an awesome idea! I, however, can't write something like that complex without getting confused myself, so I'll leave it to the smarter writers. XD
