Title: Sometimes
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: {all unrequited} Ryan/Colin, Ryan/Greg, and slight Colin/Brad or Brad/Greg. lol. *sighs* I don't know ...
Summary: Do you ever miss Ryan?
Author's Notes: A very short, plotless fic. ;) Set during Green Screen. I don't know where it came from, and I apologise if the 'him's and 'he's get confusing. Had a really hard time with that, this time, for some reason -_-
"Do you ever miss Ryan?" Greg asks, suddenly, and Colin freezes. Brad doesn't look up; he picks at his thumbnail as casually as he can.
Colin studies Greg, warily.
"I - I hadn't thought about it," he lies, slowly, as he buys some time - and it's only because Greg's watching him so intently is it that he notices how quickly the older man is blinking.
So he simply waits.
"I guess," he continues, just as slowly, like he didn't lie in bed last night, curled up on his side, staring at the phone for the better part of an hour.
Trying to muster up the nerve to call Ryan.
"Sometimes," he amends, like he didn't automatically check for Ryan this morning.
He shrugs, screwing up his nose, like the realization that Ryan wasn't here - and wouldn't be here - hadn't hit him so hard he'd felt almost winded.
Greg cocks his head to the side, looking at him, thoughtfully, and he feels the tips of his ears burning.
But he thinks he understands.
"Do you?" he asks, and Greg smiles, a little sheepishly. "Yeah, a bit," he lies, like it wasn't Ryan's name he woke himself up groaning last night.
Brad chews on his thumbnail and finally raises his eyes, pretending only to be semi-interested in the conversation.
"Sometimes," Greg echoes, like it wasn't Ryan's face he pictured the last time he touched himself.
He shrugs then, too, with one shoulder - like he didn't spend almost half an hour under a cold shower this morning, trying to think of anything but Ryan Stiles.
"What about you?" Colin asks, turning to Brad with a tiny smile - and he looks back at him, genuinely surprised. "Me?" he checks, after a pause, and Colin shrugs. "Why not?" he says, still smiling, and Brad doesn't answer for a moment; he glances over at Greg - who dips his chin, interested.
He licks his lips, quickly, before answering.
"A little," he lies, like he's not ridiculously glad he hasn't seen Ryan in nearly two years.
Colin smiles again, sympathetically, so Brad adds, "Sometimes," like he doesn't dread both the day Ryan will eventually return, and the looks of utter, giddy joy he knows Colin and Greg will - altogether unsuccessfully - try to hide from Ryan and each other.
Greg glances down at his lap, smiling very faintly, and Colin studies the wall, an inscrutable expression on his face - and Brad reminds himself, grimly, that it's only inscrutable to him, and that Ryan would probably know exactly what's running through the Canadian's mind.
But he's not Ryan.
