Title-In a Moment
Name- Broadway_Bound
Rating-G
Pairing-Ambiguous (again . . . sorry)
Summary- This was another challenge for myself.
A/N- I wrote this about a week ago in my school agenda book. I don't know about you but our agenda's are small and have pages in them that can be used for various notes. I asked myself if I could write a story in there using all the lines. I did . . . And here it is.

P.S.- This isn't BETA-ed . . . or whatever it's called . . .

~In a Moment~

It was like the whole world revolved around us. For that one moment, that's what I thought. The sun shone down on us and we could hear the bird's singing in the elm tree out by the window. The early spring scent filled the room and mixed so sweetly with our own. I breathed in the aroma and let out a contented sigh; cuddling up closer to my partners warm, solid body. His half awake mind had his arms circling around me. I felt so safe in his arms and all I wanted to do was spend the rest of the day there in bed. It was so comfortable and nice and wonderful and all those words in one. I wish I could have been Joshua* and ask the sun to stay in the sky forever. Or at least a little longer. But it was only a moment. No more then a second or two had passed, really. And then the alarm went off and it was time to get up and go to work. Time to live our lives and do the daily mundane. He wiggled a bit and moved to get up. And it was gone. All eyes were no longer on us. But it was wonderful while it lasted.

*Bible verse- Joshua 10:12-13-- "Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Isreal, and he said in the sight of Isreal, 'Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.' And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the bookof Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasyed not to go down about a whole day."

I liked that a lot. The whole Joshua thing is really neat because it says something about the main character.

Well, it says that he is or was religious or at least had some reason to read his bible. ^_^ It's an inconsequential, but interesting little tidbit to give personality to what would otherwise be a nameless character. Gives him a bit of mystery I might even say.

A detail like that the reader could do a lot with. Like, say it was saying something about the main character's religion, then there could be all this guilt over his current relationship. Tiny details like that are fun because they add so much depth, all in the mind of the reader.

I could see Wayne or Chip, maybe Jeff.

Hmmm... Old Testament... Is Greg Jewish?

So this is really late... ^_^ But I JUST got the notification of this comment. I see this as Colin & Ryan, Col's POV.

I saw Wayne, because I always thought of him as the more religious one.

Well, if you think about it, he is the only one that wears a cross, and I don't know, I just somehow think he would be the one knowing texts like that :)
