Chapter 2: I didn't know Colin could giggle . . .
As Ryan watched Brad, Wayne and Greg go through shots of whatever they could get their hands on, he felt Colin sidle up to him in the booth.
"10 years . . . " Ryan murmered.
Colin grinned broadly, "And hopefully more!" He raised his bottle in a toast and took a swig.
"Woah, man!" Ryan waved his hand in front of his nose. "How many beers have you had?"
"I don't know . . . " he looked at his fingers and tried to tick off. "Got one when we came in. Then Greg gave me one. And Dan . . . The last one was from Brad and this one," he held it up. "I don't remember . . . " A confused look crossed his face but only stayed for a second.
Ryan looked at him in disbelief. "That's five beer's man! Don't you think that's too many?"
"Hey!" Colin's head weaved a little. "I don't talk about your drinking habits!"
This comment got to Ryan a little. "That's because I don't have any."
"Sure you don't." Colin looked away.
A little anger started to creep into the tall man's voice. "I think you've had enough."
Colin turned back to Ryan and peered into his face. "You know what?"
"What?" Ryan said crossly.
Colin smiled. "You're kinda cute when you get mad!"
Ryan wasn't expecting this comment. A blank expression fell upon his long face. Colin just sat there with his drunken smile. Obviously no one else had heard this; actually, it seemed the commotion was getting louder.
Finally Ryan snapped out of it and snatched Colin's bottle. "You've definitely had enough."
Colin started to pout. He leaned into Ryan. "What's wrong?"
The taller man furrowed his brow.
"Afraid of another . . . man? complimenting you like that?"
Ryan leaned back away from his friend. He was actually starting to get scared. "I think that was the beer talking."
Colin just laughed.
"I, also, think it's time for you to go back to the hotel."
His friend groaned and grabbed his bottle back before he took another swig.
I think that's all I feel like writing for now . . .
