After posting a mini ficlet on here earlier, I got the idea for a longer from the suggestions of asuka14 and clayangel on how to improve what I had written. So, this is the prologue of what is likely to be a very long story.
Title: All I Need
Rating: PG
Chapter: Prologue
Pairing: past Greg/Tony, future Chip/Greg
Disclaimer: This is only the work of my overactive brain
It was 1999, and I was fucking miserable. My last relationship violently went south, I ended up in the ER with a head injury and 4 broken ribs. I never would have thought a guy like Tony would do such a thing, he never even raised his voice at me. As cliche as it sounds, you can't judge a book by its cover.
Everyone I work with knew what happened, and I got the privilege of hearing the never ending showers of sympathy when I got to the studio. I didn't count on one thing that day, however, a new guy was going to be joining us on the show, making me even angrier. "Fucking great..." I thought bitterly to myself, once someone tells him what happened, a stranger was going to bombard me with questions about my relationship.
I pulled into the parking lot already pissed off. When I got out of my car, that's when I first noticed him, about 6'1, bronzed skin, and a smile that almost made my heart stop. Without my knowing, Ryan was dragging me over to the handsome newcomer. "Greg, I'd like you to meet Chip Esten." Right at that second I knew I was head over heels for a man who I've known for only moments.
