Title - 27 Seconds

Pairing - Colin/Ryan
Summary  - Ryan confronts Colin after a particular taping....
Feedback - Please be gentle....it's my first try!!!

I've been thinking about this idea for a while...hope you like it!

Colin walked down the corridor to the green room with a smile on his face. It had been a good taping so far and the surprise guest had been a really good sport. They were now on a 15 minute break before finishing up for the day and he was heading for some much needed refreshment. Colin strolled into the green room, glancing around and smiling at Brad and Wayne who were already there.

"Hey, Col," Brad called, Wayne grinning next to him, "good show, huh?"

"Yeah, it was great," Colin responded while reaching for a cold drink. He was on the point of turning around to sit down when a familiar voice thundered from the doorway.

"27 SECONDS!"

Colin turned to face the doorway, took a sip of his drink, and replied innocently, "What's 27 seconds, Ry?"

"Uh oh, this can't be good," smirked Brad from the corner, while Wayne became very interested in his shoes. 

The whole cast and crew knew about the long-standing relationship between Colin and Ryan (they weren't, after all, very good at hiding it) but the truth was kept from the general public to protect their privacy.

"You know bloody well what, Col," fumed Ryan coming into the room fully. "I timed your kiss with Joanie--Chyna--whatever her name is."  He turned to Brad who was still smirking and said, "and don't think you're off the hook either".

"Hey," Brad lifted his hand in a gesture of surrender and plastered an innocent expression on his face, "what did I do?" Wayne snorted next to him and received a glare from Ryan.

Colin meanwhile had sat down and continued to sip his drink, observing the scene with barely concealed amusement.  Ryan turned back to him and raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Well?"

"I think you're forgetting that you kissed her too, Ry," countered Colin, meeting the glare of his lover with a small smile.

"She kissed me actually, and for a fraction of the time you took," Ryan huffed, crossing his arms in front of his chest. Colin sighed and got up, moving to stand in front of the man he loved more than anything in the world. Brad and Wayne took this as their cue to leave.

"Hey, Brad, I think Drew's calling us," Wayne said, nudging Brad in the side and looking meaningfully at the door. 

Brad caught on quickly, "Oh, yeah, let's go". Wayne scrambled for the door, followed closely by Brad. At the door, Brad turned and said, "Play nice you two," winking at Colin before closing the door behind him.

Colin turned back to Ryan and laid a hand on his arm. "What's this about, Ry? We've kissed lots of people on the show over the years. You know it doesn't mean anything." 

Ryan sighed and uncrossed his arms, looking into the soft brown eyes he'd known most of his life and fallen in love with.  "It's just...I don't know.....she looked like she was claiming you as her own with that kiss...and I was..."

"Jealous," Colin finished his sentence for him. He reached up and cupped Ryan's face with one hand, smiling when Ryan closed his eyes at the touch. "You've got nothing to worry about Ryan. I love you and that's not going to change, not ever."

Ryan opened his eyes and wrapped his arms around Colin. "I know....it's just that I would like to kiss you like that in front of the world, and I don't mean a bloody stage kiss, I want to shout from the rooftops that you're mine."

"Stake your claim," grinned Colin, returning the hug. "I think you did a pretty good job at the end of that scene, don't you think?"

"Yeah, I did get a bit carried away," Ryan chuckled, eyes twinkling. "You think people will guess?"

"People are always guessing," Colin replied. "All that matters is the ones we love know about us and accept us for who we are....and Ryan?" he paused and looked up into the green eyes he loved so much before whispering, "I'll always be yours."

Ryan cupped Colin's face in his hands before meeting his lips in a fierce, passionate kiss that left them both breathless. "And I'm yours Col....forever."
