[identity profile] clayangel.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] wl_fanfiction
A question has arisen as of late as to whether we would allow the posting of a certain non-Whose Line piece of fiction. The particular story I'm referring to is for the show True Jackson, VP, which has Greg in a staring roll, playing a character called Max. There is apparently little to no activity in the community in which this story was originally posted, and the author is looking to get a little more feedback from a crowd that might be interested.

Me and the other mods are of two minds about this. Of your four mods, one is very much against it in that it's not Whose Line fan fiction, plain and simple, while one is very much for it and sees it as being basically the same as any AU fiction, and the other two see both good and bad points about allowing it. As a whole, I believe we were leaning towards allowing this story to be posted, but then where do you go from there? Where do you draw the line?

Honestly, we don't know. The whole thing brings up a lot of concerns about the future of the community, the fear of change but the knowledge that change is sometimes good and even necessary, and in wondering about all this, we got stuck. So we decided that this community was made for the members after all, so what do you guys want to see? Where do you stand on this issue? Any comments would be really helpful. :)

Thanks so much!
Clay
