Today's top story: NASA sends probe to Uranus; people everywhere giggle.

The month of March houses the date of one of the most amusing discoveries of all time. Oh yes, it was the planet Uranus that was officially discovered by Sir William Herschel, on March 13, 1781.

Uranus is the butt of many grade school jokes and definitely one planet that our boys appreciate, and let's show it some love with a good, old fashioned Secret Santa (Secret Astronomer?) story exchange! Uranus has entertained us for over 200 years, so let's take some of the pressure off it and entertain each other!

Anyone who plays will get a prompt from another author which they will have two weeks to write. Meanwhile, someone will be writing a very special story just for you in return! At the end of two weeks, the stories get sent out anonymously, showing up in your inbox on the morning of April 3rd.



HERE'S WHAT TO DO:

1. Fill out this form below.

2. DON'T post it here. Send me (Clay) an email at clayangel@comcast.net, with the subject "Secret Santa" on or before March 18th. Oh, and don't forget to mention who you are :)

3. I'll reply and tell you I got it. If you don't get a reply within 12 hours, email me back just to be sure.

4. On the evening of March 19th, you will receive your assignment. You will know for who you will be writing.

5. Reply and say you got it.

6. Then you've got two weeks to write your story. Send your fic TO ME (Clay) by midnight, April 1st PMT. (And no fooling around, ^_~)

7. I send the fics out on April 3rd. You will get one in your mailbox without knowing who wrote it for you (hence the secret part). Much happiness will ensue.

8. From the 5th on, you are free to post your fics in the community and tell the person you wrote for it was you. There'll also be a guessing post on the 3rd or 4th, and if you're guessed there, feel free to post before the 5th. :D


Now, THE FORM. This is what you will send to me before March 18th. Fill it out just as you see here, only replacing the given examples with your answers.
