Title: Tastes of Cherries
Author: Clay
Pairing: Ryan/Colin
Rating: PG
Author’s Notes: Just a quick little thing. Ever since my early days in the fandom, I’ve always associated Colin with cherries to the point where it’s kind of a running gag in my head. This is just a bit of fluff inspired by that fact; 186 words.
The drink reminded him of the taste of cherries: sweet, tart, pungent, familiar and exotic all in one go. His next thought was to wonder if Ryan could tie a cherry stem into a knot with his tongue.
It left him giggling and stupid, and Ryan furrowed his brow, watching him with a small and content, if mildly amused, smile. He brushed his fingers through the fringes of Colin’s hair and cocked his head to one side.
“What?” he asked, grinning wider, when Colin just shook his head, still chuckling. His voice softened and his hand came to rest over the back of Colin’s neck. “What’s on your mind?”
“Cherries,” Colin replied, feeling himself calming somewhat, his eyes on Ryan’s slightly parted lips.
But then Ryan was chuckling, watching Colin curiously. “What is it with you and cherries?”
“You have a problem with cherries?” Colin shot back with mock indignance.
Ryan just shook his head, still laughing gently as he pulled Colin into a loose embrace, the touch of their chests through thin layers of cotton warm and inviting.
“No,” Ryan said. “No problem at all.”
