“Look what I found.” Ryan set the dust covered book into his companion’s lap, and settled into the sofa next to him.

“Oh!  I haven’t seen this in ages!  Where did you find it?”  Colin asked opening up the book and smiling at the first page of pictures he came to.

“I was looking for my baseball glove and I found it in a box, buried under your old cooking magazines.  Never did find the bloody glove though.”  He grumbled good naturedly.  His lover’s eyes were twinkling with joy, at being able to see those pictures again.  So many memories that book held.

“Do you remember this?” Colin asked excitedly, pointing at the picture of them standing in front of Niagara Falls.

“How could I forget?  We got soaked, and it was like forty degrees out that day!”  Ryan laughed.

“But you had a lot of fun that day, you big cry baby.  Admit it.”

“Okay, I admit I had a lot of fun that day.  I had a lot more fun that night though.”  He nuzzled his lover’s ear with fond affection at the memory.  “You remember that too, don’t you?”

“I remember we didn’t get any sleep that night,” he chuckled.

“Well, we had to warm up somehow.”

They fell into a comfortable silence as they looked back through the pictures, and memories of their lives together.  Each lost in their own thoughts, smiles and tears.  Coming to the last page of the book, Colin closed it with a sigh and looked into his lover’s eyes.  He was lost deeply in his thoughts, and he wondered what he was thinking.

“What is it?”

“Colin, if you had to do it all over again, would you change anything?”

Colin thought it over for a long while, pressing his lips together, and fiddling with the corners of the picture album still sitting in his lap.

“Nope.  I wouldn’t have changed a thing.”

“Even the divorce?”

“Even the divorce.  How many times do I have to tell you that, before I convince you?”

“Just a few more times.”

Colin smirked, and set the album on the coffee table.  “What about you?  Would you have changed anything?”

“Just one thing.”  Colin was taken aback slightly.

“What?”

“I would have told you I loved you a hell of a lot sooner than I did.”  Colin took Ryan’s big  hand in his and kissed the top of it gently.

“I always knew you loved me.  You didn’t have to tell me.”

“Yes, but I should have.  You were always telling me how much you loved me.  It would have been nice of me to return in kind.”  Colin shook his head, and kissed his hand again.

“Well, the important thing is that you told me.  That’s all that matters to me.”

“And I’ll tell you everyday for the rest of our lives.”  They shared a sweet kiss, still holding hands, and when they pulled apart, Colin noticed a familiar twinkle in his eyes.  “What do you say we reenact our night at Niagara Falls?”

“We don’t have that kind of stamina anymore, Ryan.”

“Well, I’m up for the challenge if you are,” he winked.  Colin considered it for a moment or two.

“Ah, what the hell.  Let’s give it a try.”
