"We're going to be late," Jeff huffed, leaning against the wall by the door and glaring up the stairs.
"I'll be there in a tick," Greg called, "I just need to find my boots."
"You were already wearing boots!"
"Yeah, but these ones go better with my blue pants!"
"You were wearing black pants when you opened the door."
"I'm wearing blue ones now!"
Jeff rolled his eyes. "Honey, I've seen you naked and sweaty, which is pretty much how I'm gonna be picturing you all night anyway. Does it really matter what you're wearing?"
"Yes!!"
"I need a drink," he decided, heading for the kitchen.
"I think I have frost-bite," Ryan chuckled as he opened the door.
"That was probably me," Colin grinned, closing the door behind him and unbuttoning his coat.
He just about managed to hang it up when Ryan pounced, pinning him against the wall.
"Your hands are cold," Colin laughed.
"Your ass is warm," Ryan murmured, grabbing two handfuls of that tempting butt and latching his mouth onto Colin's neck.
Colin sighed happily, hooking his foot round Ryan's calf to pull him in closer.
"C'mere," he whispered.
"Yes sir sheriff sir," Ryan smiled, swooping in for another kiss.
Ryan encouraged Colin's leg to wrap itself further up his own, squeezing the other man's thigh and pushing him almost through the wall in an effort to get closer.
"Oh.......OH!!"
Their lips came apart with an audible *pop* and they turned toward the interrupting vocal.
"Oh my God!" Jeff breathed, his mouth agape, eyes alight with excitement.
Colin blushed and buried his head in Ryan's neck, much to the enjoyment of the taller man.
"Hi Jeff," Ryan smiled, his voice and body still shaky from the hormones rampaging through him.
"You.....He......Youheyou," Jeff stuttered, pointing at the two like the Wizard of Oz scarecrow after too many cups of coffee.
Colin whimpered from somewhere in the vicinity of Ryan's collar bone and his lover petted him reassuringly.
"Yes Jeff, we, he, I......Yes."
"Oh my fucking God! You guys rock!! Greg!!!!" Jeff bellowed, probably causing a tsunami in Outer Mongolia.
"What?" Greg questioned, stopping half-way down the stairs, single red boot in hand, to stare at his two housemates. At least he presumed there were two, it was difficult to tell where one ended and the other began.
"Oh," he blinked. "Does this mean we're staying in?"
"No!" Ryan instructed, before a slightly bouncing Jeff had a chance to answer.
"Best not," Jeff sighed. "They need smooch time," he finished with a mega-watt grin.
Colin lifted his head, resting his chin on Ryan's shoulder and frowning at Greg.
"Why do you only have one boot?"
This successfully diverted Jeff's attention.
"Greg, I thought you were looking for your blue boots?"
"I was, but these look quite natty don't ya think?"
Jeff sighed, shaking his head. "If you keep this up I'm gonna need to go shave again."
---------------------------
Several panic attacks and a few threats of impending violence later, Jeff was finally shoving his lover out of the door, stopping briefly to envelope Colin in a bone-crushing hug and requesting a detailed synopsis at some point.
Colin closed the door on the still bickering pair and wandered into the kitchen, where Ryan was making some coffee.
He took a moment to study the tall man. The long, elegant neck; broad, strong back........'Mine' he thought, still with a sense of wonder. 'Mineminemine! I can just.....Walk up to him and kiss him...Touch him. I can do that now!'
The realisation began creeping up on him, its long fingers pinching his legs and turning them to jelly.
"Oh dear, I need to sit down."
"You okay?" Ryan asked worriedly, moving rapidly to Colin's side as the other man plonked himself heavily down on the kitchen chair.
"I'm fine," Colin smiled, removing Ryan's hand from his forehead and holding it between his own. "Just...You know."
Ryan nodded, the spark in Colin's large, brown eyes drawing him in. Oh how he knew!
"I'm going to kiss you again."
"Yes please."
---------------------
"You're humming," Ryan grinned, sidling up to the shop counter as Colin was giving a customer her change.
"Well, I spent last evening lounging on a couch and playing tonsil-hockey with a tall, extremely cute man. Can you blame me?"
"Spent the night in your own bed though," Ryan huffed good-naturedly, planting a quick kiss to Colin's forehead.
"We've only just gotten together, you horn-dog!"
"I'm a guy," Ryan shrugged, "it comes with the territory."
"That's bullshit," Colin laughed, "in case you hadn't noticed, I'm a guy too."
"Oh I'd noticed," Ryan toned, running his index finger lightly down the front of Colin's torso.
"Stop it!" Colin hissed, blushing furiously and grabbing Ryan's finger, stopping its descent.
"I can't help it! Its alright for you, at least you've been getting some."
"True, although that was with Alan."
"Point taken," Ryan grimaced, forcefully shoving that image out of his head. "Still, imagine what it's like for me. I'm a starving man whose just been given a hotdog!"
"Nice metaphor," Colin chuckled.
"Okay.....A nice...Cute...Big hotdog!"
"Uh huh."
"I'll go grab Greg and get lunch," Ryan sighed.
Colin sighed happily, eyes glued to the rythmic sway of Ryan's hips as he walked out the door.
"Go me," he muttered quietly.
The shop was empty, as was usual at the beginning of the lunch hour, so Colin decided to go straighten and check the books and shelves before the afternoon crowd began.
Clucking his tongue in quiet admonishment, Colin plucked a James Herbert paperback out of the romance section and made his way over to the shelves marked 'Sci fi and Horror'.
The tinkling of the shop bell brought a smile to Colin's face, thinking his lover had forgotten something, or maybe come back for an illicit kiss or two.
He turned, fully expecting to see Ryan.
The man standing there, leaning his hand against the closed door and smirking at him, wiped the smile completely off his face.
"Alan," Colin breathed, a knot of tension coiling in his stomach at the manic look in his dishevelled ex-lover's staring eyes.
"Hey baby," Alan grinned nastily, turning the lock on the door. "Miss me?"
