Another fic for me!!! YAY!! This one's fluffy! I think . . . And short . . .
-Title-Window Shopping
-Author-Broadway_Bound
-Rating-G
-Pairing-whoever you want to put in there!
-Summary-This is a very short and open-ended sort of story. It leaves a lot to the imagination.
-A/N-It's interesting how I got to writting this. I was in U.S. History class and I felt the urge to write something but I didn't know what. And then I started thinking about those 30 hugs things and I figured I could write about objects. So I looked around and what caught my attention was a Baby Phat purse. And the rest was history. Plus, you can put whatever pairing in there that you want.
We walked down the sidewalk. People bustled by us and generally ignored us. The windows in the side shops glinted with the afternoon sun. As my partner and I strolled past the stores I would stop occasionally and peer past the glass and look at the display.
One particular shop, I stopped abruptly and tugged at his sleeve to stay him.
“What is it?” he asked me with a light hand on my back.
I pointed at the window and saw his eyes slide up the glass.
“You want that?” He smiled at me.
I nodded my head and grabbed his hand. I felt like a child pointing out future gifts to my parents. He laughed and turned back toward the display. His smile was warm but as I watched his whole face slipped into a frown.
Slight confusion glazed my features and I quickly switched my view back to the object of my wanting. I was saddened at what came to my sight. A store clerk was taking down the article and placing it in front of the register to be bought.
“Oh well. We can find another one somewhere else,” squeezing my hand and reassuring me.
“It’s ok,” I murmured and moved on down the sidewalk, pulling him with me.
He was silent for a moment. “How about some ice cream? I think there’s a shop down the street.”
I smiled at his effort to cheer me. “Sure.” I replied and I laced my fingers with his and we became apart of the crowd moving down the street.
