Fandom: Whose Line is it Anyway?
Characters: Greg Proops/Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie
Title: A Guy About This Tall Wearing Canary Yellow (26)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 301
Summary: Ryan’s wardrobe.
Prompt: 013. Yellow
Author’s Notes: Greg’s POV.
I’ve always loved that certain shirt of Ryan’s, that bright canary yellow one. It just lights up his face and highlights those sexy eyes, and it also drapes on him. It shadows his body and accentuates his every move. It also makes him so damn cheery. I don’t know why, but it does. I absolutely appall the fake persona he slips into when he wears that long sleeved button down on stage. Mostly because it’s not him, it’s the way he wishes he could be. The real Ryan is just a big storm cloud, mysterious and foreboding, and just a little dangerous. I hate how he is in that shirt, but I love the shirt itself, because when he wears it I can picture myself tearing it off to reveal who he really is. When he wears it I can barely sit still and if we actually get a scene together I can’t help but turn it into a come on, not that it matters, no one ever notices. When Colin does it everyone notices: Drew makes a joke, the audience howls, and Ryan blushes the blush that only I pick up on, and the coupe de gra? Even the fans notice or force themselves to. They harp on every detail of “Ryan and Colin”, but they never notice anything between us. It’s true we don’t have glaring stage kisses or cutesy “best friends forever” hugs, but I’m glad we don’t. We have something that they don’t: subtlety, a subtlety that only careful viewers see, even if Ryan does wear his bright yellow shirt. I gaze over at Ryan, who’s fast asleep on the bed beside me. He really does looks dashing in that shirt, but I can’t help to think how much better it looks sprawled on the dark carpet of my hotel room.
