Chapter 11/11
Summary: Ryan, Colin and Lily battle the bounty hunter

The chameleon-like creature known as Wayne Brady was quickly transforming into its real self. And it was not appealing There were several... arms perhaps, each ending with a specialized weapon which varied, looking like saw blades, spears, electrical probes, vicious powerful teeth, even a sort of garbling vacuum which seemed to be gagging on its own putrid... pus.

A crushing crash of thunder boiled around them as they and the fresh air from inside slammed vigorously into the dead stench of the outside air, creating multitudes of small whirlwind storms battling for control.

Ryan and Colin, stood with Lily between them, one of each of their arms around her and each other as her wings protected their backs, In Colin's left and Ryan's right hand each found what could only be a weapon, though neither had ever seen the like. Instinctively they moved like a well choreographed ballet their weapons responding as needed, without a thought. Dodging, slipping in and out, leaping high into the air at one point and slowly returning to Earth.

Wayne, and now it was at least partially if not totally no longer the Wayne they’d known, made one final attempt to reach Lily with the sucking vacuum thing, which was quickly dispatch by Colin. The disarmed monster slipped to the ground before them, panting, staring that the three of them in consternation. "They said you'd abandon her... she'd be tiny and lost and afraid... Easy prey at this early point... Why do you stand with her?"

Ryan spoke gently, "We don't stand WITH her… when one of us stands, we all stand. We are one entity, a unity... a family. One of us cannot be broken from the others."  Lily and Colin were gazing at him with such love and approval that his words choked there.

Colin took over, "Let us show you the truth, Wayne , you've been fed so many lies.”

So a large tent was erected there for him and over the course of time, the three of them taught him the ways of love, truth and beauty. He taught them what was being believed elsewhere.

Ryan and Colin grew even closer, their love grew deeper and stronger as they shared it  Lily continued to become who she was destined to be, yet even so much more, blooming in the garden of her family.

Their lives were filled.... yes, with struggles and sorrow, but with more times of hilarious fun, learning and stratagising, playfulness, much laughter,

Eventually plans were made for travel, and more adventures. But those are tales for another day.

Aww, this was very cute! I loved the fairy-tale genre, and of course, the Ryan/Colin cuddliness. Nicely done :)

Again, you really have a knack for disgusting descriptions. ^_^ I love it.

The style the story is told in also really amplifies the atmosphere. Your choices in wording are quite impressive.

Aw. ^_^ What a sweet ending. Lovely story.
