The next morning, Brad woke up slowly to the feeling of absolute happiness. He looked to his side and smile at the still sleeping form of Jeff, curled up beside him with his brown hair slipping over his eyes.
He gently swept the hair away, careful not to wake his partner as he wrapped his arms around the warm body, pulling him closer as he kissed his forehead just as gentle. Closing his eyes, Brad just enjoyed the silence, the only sounds being the birds chirping and the soft snores from Jeff, until…
“Guys, time to get up, breakfast’s ready” Ryan’s muffled yell could be heard, followed by a series of banging just to be sure they’re awake.
Brad felt Jeff suddenly spring out of him arms in alarm, now wide awake and breathing hard “God, Ry never lets anybody sleep in” Jeff joked, Brad chuckling as he gathering his fiancée once again in his arms, kissing him sweet and passionately, making Jeff moan in his mouth.
“We keep this up, they’ll come looking for us again. And I don’t really want Ryan to barge in on us doing it” Brad laughed again, beckoning Jeff into the bathroom with him, straight towards the shower.

Half an hour later, everyone was sat around the kitchen table, chatting animatedly with each other or their partners. Chip was sitting in Wayne’s lap, giggling at some joke he just said, while Drew and Greg were just talking quietly to each, holding each other’s hands on the table.
Colin and Ryan were talking to Brad and Jeff, asking many questions about the wedding “When you guys gonna get your tuxes?”
“Maybe today, if we haven’t got anything planned of course” Brad said to Jeff, who just smiled and nodded before adding “But we can’t see each other’s outfits, we must keep it traditional”
“Tell you what, Ryan will go Brad, while I’ll go with you, Jeff” Colin planned, the other three agreeing as they finished breakfast.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few hours later…
Brad was skimming through the rack filled with tuxedos and suits, worrying about what to wear. He wanted it to be perfect and not let Jeff down.
Ryan was standing behind him, his patience wearing thin. They’d been in six different clothes shops and still nothing seemed good to Brad. He sighed in frustration “Come on Brad, they’re surely something you like in here, it’s the last place”
“I can’t help it, they all seem too dull or not good enough. I just want to impress Jeff” He felt an hand on his arm and was spun around to face Ryan.
“Listen, Jeff is not marrying you for your tux, suit or anything like that. He’s marrying you for you, he loves you. He wouldn’t care if you turned up to the wedding in your birthday suit, all he cares about is that you’ll be there for him, that you love him” Ryan’s little speech made Brad’s eyes mist over.
“You’re right, I’m just being a bit paranoid and I’m nervous. This is the first proper relationship I’ve had for ages. I just don’t want anything to ruin it”
Ryan nodded “I felt like that with Colin. I was nervous being with him after his divorce. I’d already been through it with my ex-wife, so I help Col through his. All the talking soon lead to love and now, we’re together”
Brad smiled then spotted the perfect tuxedo, pure black with a white shirt and black tie “Perfect, just the one”
He looked over to Ryan who nodded approvingly, waiting by the door while Brad made his purchase.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Col, what do you think of this one?” Jeff asked his friend, holding a black tuxedo to his body. Before Colin even got a chance to say anything, Jeff huffed in frustration before throwing the tux away and getting another one.
Colin rolled his eyes at the younger man, sighing deeply as Jeff tried finding another one “Jeff, why is the tux really important to you? Isn’t it more the love that you’re marrying Brad?”
Jeff stopped in his tracks and sighed “You’re right Col, I just want to make him happy. Ever since my last boyfriend broke up with me, I never thought I’d find love again. But Brad’s always been there for me, he helped me when I needed help, he gave me strength when I was weak. I love him so much it hurts, I just don’t think I would ever be here now, getting married in a few months”
Colin walked forwards and patted his arm “You know, that’s how I feel about Ryan. Ever since the divorce, I felt like there would never be anyone else for me. But then Ryan came along and everything turned out for the best. I love Ryan with all my heart and I know he does too, so I know that’s how Brad feels about you, no matter what”
Jeff felt his heart swell at the talk and smiled sadly at Colin “Thank you, for helping me, us” He looked up and saw a cream suit with black trousers “This one, this is the one for me” He said, taking it down and going to the till to pay.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brad and Ryan walked out of the stuffy shop into the warm sunshine, adjusting their eyes once again to the brightness “Thanks a lot Ry, for everything I mean. You’ve been a great friend”
Ryan smiled at him “No problem, but remember this. Jeff has had his heart broken once and doesn’t need it breaking again. I thinking of him as a younger brother and if you do anything to hurt him, I’ll hurt you. Understand?”
Brad saw the seriousness in his emerald eyes and swallowed “You know I’d never do anything to hurt him. He’s my light, my life and my true love. If I ever hurt him, I could never forgive myself”
Ryan smiled brightly once again, patting his hand on Brad’s shoulder “I know, I just wanted to make sure you knew yourself” He looked down at his watch “There’s still some time before we have to meet Colin and Jeff back home, let’s get a drink”
Brad agreed and Ryan crossed the road, not noticing the speeding car coming towards him, not showing signs of slowing down “Ryan, look out!” He yelled running out to his friend.
The sounds of screeching tyres and the sound of a body being hit could be heard for miles as the other person desperately yelled at someone to call an ambulance.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeff and Colin finally made in back to Ry and Col’s house, noticing Ryan’s car was nowhere in the driveway. Thinking they were just a little bit late, they went into the house “Now remember, Brad is one of my very dear friends. If you ever hurt him, you’ll have to answer to me, ok?”
“Yes, I’d never do anything like that. He is my heart, my soul, my true love. I would rather die then hurt him” Col nodded and smiled warmly at him “Good, now go and hide that in my room, quick before they get home”
Jeff went upstairs to hide his tux inside Colin and Ryan’s room, with permission from the Canadian of course, while the older man made coffees for them both.
Then his mobile rang, pulling it out to see Ryan was ringing him “Hey, where are you? We’re back home now” He answered. The he frowned as he listened carefully “What do you mean you’re at the hospital?” What happened?”
Jeff had come back downstairs by then and listened to the conversation, not giving himself away from his hidden position behind Colin “A car accident? Are you ok? What about Brad?” When his face went pale, Jeff knew something was wrong “Yes, of course we’ll be right there. See you there in five”
He cut the call off and place his face in his hand, rubbing away the now sudden fatigue that appeared. He heard a cough behind and turned in shock to see Jeff standing in the doorway, his face full of concern “What’s happened? Where’s Brad?”
“Jeff, some car was speeding toward Ryan, he never saw it coming so Bard ran out and pushed him away. Unfortunately he took the blow for Ry, he’s been hurt pretty badly”
Jeff looked disbelieving at first, but seeing the seriousness in Colin’s eyes, he knew he was being truthful. The information slowly sank into his mind, leaving him shaky and unstable, dropping down into one of the kitchen chairs “He’s hurt?” He asked quietly, still not quite believing it.
“I’m so sorry Jeff, I’m so sorry” Colin said, hugging the younger man close as he broke down into heart wrenching sobs, rubbing his back soothingly to try and calm him down “I’m so sorry..."

Hmm, well I hope things turn out okay, and that Bradley isn't too badly hurt. Keep it up! :)
