You Said

 

You said that you,

would be next to me,

For ever and always,

For eternity.

You said if your body,

Did not brush against mine,

Then something was wrong,

Somewhere along the line.

You said you would never leave me,

Without a farewell,

But some things in life,

We just cannot tell.

 

 

I’m sitting at the terminal,

too heartbroken to cry,

Your nearing the clouds

Without saying goodbye.

I hope that your wife,

Knows how lucky she be,

Because I wish the stars,

That, your wife would be me…
