Title: Battle Of Who Could Care Less
Author: desiredeffect
Rating: G
Pairing(s): Colin/Drew
Author's notes: Yay! I wrote something. 3 things. They suck but whatever. :D
Disclaimer: It's not lying, it's a gift for fiction

“Now what’d you have to go and start a fight for?”
“It’s not my fault, the guy was asking for it.”
“Colin, you’re almost fifty years of age and the most reserved man I’ve ever met in my entire life. You don’t just go around picking fights.”
“And you just don’t drop everything, including having your hands down a stripper’s underwear to come and help me.”
“We’re talking about your bad habits here, not mine Col.” Drew’s voice was reproachful as he applied the ice to Colin’s face, trying to keep the swelling down. “He gave you a nice shiner.” He adds, feeling the need to at least have something positive to say.
“Thanks. That just makes me feel so much better.”
“You’re welcome sweet cheeks. Just try not to get into anymore fights okay? I’m too old to be chasing after you and Ryan almost put his back out of place trying to save you from being pummelled into the floor like a new rug for the floorboards.”
Colin smiled in return and patted Drew’s cheek, leaning forward slightly to press a kiss just under his jaw.
“Is there a lock on this stall?”

Title: The Distance

Pairing(s): Greg/? (guy is Ryan in my brain but who knows)
He’d heard him laugh, knew his smiles and the way he held himself. He knew the glint he got in his eye just before he got angry and the way his shoulders dropped ever so slightly on the slightest reprieve.
He knew his life story, where he was from and what he did on a routine. And the more he watched the more he noted these things duly as they skirted around each other, him not seeing what his mind didn’t want him to see.
He’d have to curl his hands to just stop him from reaching out to touch him, knowing it could never be so, separated not only by glass, but by layers of lies and deceit as well.
With a sigh, Greg packed away his camera case and started the car.
The life of a detective.

Title: Shoot Your Gun
Author: desiredeffect
Rating: G
Pairing(s): Ryan/Colin but interpret it how you wish.
Words were like an almost tangible violence as they yelled, screaming at each other at the tops of their lungs. Spur of the moment insults that would never, could never be taken back.
The words were an inconsequential detail compared to intensity of the feelings being poured out and shared in the scheme of things. It broke the icy silence they’d put each other through during the week and the arguments were not for restrained anger.
This was everything.
Everything summed up in an outpouring of the little twitches and the quirks that went against the grain of the other.
And at the end of it all, when they were wrapped up in each other, their feelings quieted and the words hushed and noiseless. It wasn’t necessary, they knew already. They knew and were enjoying the silence before the morning came and they could talk.
