Title: Daily Swim
Rating: PG
Pairing: Colin/Ryan
Disclaimer: I don't own any part of Ryan or Colin...except for a box of 100 calorie packs and my brother has Progressive. xD
Summary:
Ryan floated along the blue surface of his and Colin’s swimming pool. Swimming had become much of a daily habit for Ryan. He’d wake up, kiss a still sleeping Colin on the forehead, eat a small breakfast, and hop into the pool. He enjoyed the feel of the water moving around his body. The way it cooled him off, refreshing him for the day ahead.
Ryan floated over to the steps. His feet found the bottom step, then the second one, and the finally last one. He grabbed his oversized, neon green towel from the lawn chair next to the sliding glass door. He wrapped himself in the towel and stalked into the kitchen.
“Morning, Hon.” Colin said over a cup of coffee and a newspaper.
“Hey, Col. What’s happening in the world today?” Ryan nodded towards the paper.
“Not much, but I’ve only looked at the comics so far.” Colin looked up and smiled at Ryan.
Ryan leaned over the table and pecked Colin lightly on the lips. He smiled, walking over to the refrigerator. He pulled out the milk carton, opened it, and took a sip. He looked over at Colin secretly, trying to hide what he just did from his lover. If Colin saw that he would have yelled at him like he was a little kid. Ryan closed the carton and slid it back into the fridge.
“I’m going to go back out and swim some more. You should join me.” Ryan proposed. He walked towards the sliding glass door, pausing at them to wait for Colin’s answer.
Colin sighed loudly and considered his options, “Uh, maybe in a little bit.” He said, but Ryan just shook his head and stepped outside. That usually meant ‘no’.
Ryan shuffled his way back into the pool and began swimming laps across the water. Back and forth he went, feeling the burn in his muscles. Ryan took a last quick dip under the water, going down to touch the bottom, and swam to the stairs. Ryan took a deep breath as he pulled his head above the surface, refilling his lungs with much needed air.
He dripped his way to his chair on the deck. He grabbed the towel and wrapped himself up in it. He walked inside and sat next to Colin on the couch, who was watching T.V. Ryan slid his arm around him. Colin glanced up at his dripping lover and settled against him. Ryan gently placed a kiss on the top of Colin’s head and turned his attention to the T.V.
