Okay, this is the start of a multi-chaptered fic I'm working on at the moment (can I have a story tag please mods?). I still have a lot to write so you might have to wait a while inbetween chapters. Really hope you like it...please let me know!

Part One

Greg and Wayne had just sat down in the green room when Ryan entered looking pensive. He greeted them briefly before sitting down and jiggling his leg distractedly. Greg frowned at Ryan's troubled expression and went over to sit next to him.

"Hey Ryan," he said quietly as Wayne looked over curiously, "you ok?"

Ryan came out of his thoughts and glanced at him. "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, running a hand through his hair.

"You don't look fine man," Greg said with a concerned expression. "Come on, talk to me. Have you and Colin had a fight?"

"No," Ryan shook his head with a smile, "we're fine." He paused for a moment as Greg waited patiently. "Ok, let me ask you a question. Have you ever been sent fan mail that creeped you out?" he asked.

"Sure," Greg replied with a shrug, "I think we've all had our fair share of crazy fans. Hell, I've even been sent dirty underwear before now."

"Ew, that's gross," Wayne said, wrinkling his nose.

Greg grinned at him before turning back to Ryan. "Why?" he asked, "Did you get sent something weird?"

Ryan shook his head. "It's just letters," he said. "I started getting them a few weeks ago but they're different from my other fan mail, more intense, and they've been getting increasingly personal. This woman says she's met me and that we're destined to be together."

Greg raised his eyebrows. "Wack job then," he said, nodding. "I bet Col has something to say about that."

Ryan cleared his throat and looked down. "I haven't told him," he muttered.

"You haven't?" Greg asked surprised. "Why? I thought you told each other everything."

"We usually do," Ryan replied with a sigh, "but I didn't want to worry him. I told myself that I was being silly, worrying over nothing, and I'd almost convinced myself....until this morning."

"What happened?" Wayne asked, leaning forward.

Ryan pulled a letter out of his pocket and held it out. "This letter arrived....but not at the studio like all the others. This one was left at our house."

"Fuck man, she knows where you live?" Greg asked, taking the letter and reading it. Wayne stood up and moved to read the letter over Greg's shoulder.

My darling Ryan,

We shall soon be together. I know you long for that moment as much as I do, I see it in your eyes. Nothing can keep us apart my love. Be patient for the time is almost upon us. I will be watching over you until then.

Rachel.

"Man, this woman's off her fucking rocker," Greg exclaimed as he and Wayne finished reading the letter. Wayne shook his head, looking worried, as Drew came in.

"Hey guys," he greeted, pausing when he saw their expressions. "What's up?"

Ryan reluctantly filled Drew in and Greg handed him the letter.

"You have to tell Colin Ry," Greg said seriously as Drew read it quickly.

Drew looked up at Ryan with raised eyebrows, "You haven't told Colin?" he asked.

Ryan shook his head and averted his eyes. "I didn't think it was worth mentioning," he said defensively, "I mean we all get crazy fans sometimes but now..." he trailed off.

Drew handed the letter back to Ryan. "This isn't just some love-sick fan Ryan, this is serious," he said firmly. "I'll organise some security for you but you have to tell Colin everything, ok? Where is he anyway?"

"He had a few errands to run. He should be here in a minute," Ryan replied as someone knocked at the door. They all looked around to see Will from the studio's main reception.

"Excuse me," he said, "Mr Stiles? This was left at reception for you." He handed an unsealed envelope to Ryan and left. Ryan looked down and stiffened as he saw the familiar handwriting on the front.

"It's from her isn't it?" Greg said darkly when he saw Ryan's reaction. Ryan nodded and stood up, carefully removing the letter as the rest of them moved to stand next to him. Ryan's face drained of all colour as he read it.

My love,

You looked troubled this morning and I know it is because we are apart, but not for much longer my darling. All that stands between us will be removed....starting with Colin.

Rachel.

All four of them stood staring at the letter in shock.

"Shit," Greg whispered. Ryan quickly pulled his phone out and frantically dialled Colin's number before holding the phone to his ear as the others watched anxiously.

"Come on Col, pick up," he said desperately. "Fuck!" he shouted as it went to voice mail and the rest of them jumped.

Drew pulled his own phone out to call the police as Ryan ran to the door and opened it.......only to find himself face to face with Colin.

He let out a choked sob and threw his arms around Colin, clinging on to him tightly. Colin brought his arms up around Ryan and made soothing noises, looking thoroughly confused.

"Hey, I wasn't gone that long was I?" he asked as Ryan tearfully hugged and kissed him, drawing comfort from his warmth and unique scent. Greg and Wayne let out a sigh of relief and collapsed into chairs as Drew ended his phone call. Colin tried to pull back from Ryan but gave up when Ryan only hugged him tighter.

"The police are on their way," Drew informed them.

"Police?" Colin asked, staring at Drew before shaking his head. "Ok, does someone want to tell me what the hell is going on?"

To be continued....
