Congratulations to everyone nominated, and, of course, to all our winners! It was a close race in so many of the awards this year. There were a number of ties, and also many winning by a single vote! We had so many good stories this year, though, and I think we were all torn on at least a few of them. But without further ado...

See, when the mods—Sungreen and myself—realized that Rycolfan had written a staggering 50 stories (that's not including separate chapter posts for multichaptered stories) we joked that she should get an award for it...but the more we thought about it, the more serious we started to take it.

Rycolfan, this is a thank you from Sungreen, myself, and I'm sure the fandom as a whole. Thank you for keeping the fandom busy and upbeat over the last year. You filled the gaps when there was silence, you've selflessly written story after story for your fellow fans, and you've done it all with a warmth and a joy that's affected us all. :) Thank you.

And thank you everyone for nominating, voting and most of all for all the wonderful stories you've shared with us over the past year and will continue to write and share with us throughout the next. ^__^

And now for something completely different! I got a bit of concrit concerning the story list this year in that it doesn't include genres, which made things like finding a specifically funny or angsty story difficult. So we're going to be adding genre tags to go along with those we already have.

So I think we should have all the genres represented in the awards, aka: hurt/comfort, angst, humor, fluff, romance, friendship and horror. And I'm also putting in tags for AUs ,Sci-fi/fantasy stories, het and gen. Any other suggestions are more than welcome. I think this would help, too, if you're ever in the mood for something and want an easier way of going through the archives to find it. :)

I do want to ask that you please use these new tags from this point forward (and if there isn't one to fit whatever genre the story is, let me know!) but I'm certainly not going to demand that you go back and retro tag all your posts. I (and Sungreen? *looks at her hopefully*) will go retro tag previous years, but if anyone wants to do their own stories, that would be a great help. ^_^ And, of course, I'll be happy to answer any questions or concerns.
