Well, I've been listening to the 24/7 Christmas music radio station all month, and I've heard the Rod Stewart/Dolly Parton version of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" oh, about five thousand times. So I wrote this lil' thing. The lyrics to the song are included at the end. Merry Christmas!
Title: Baby, It's Cold Outside
Author: Sun Green
Pairing: Ryan/Colin
Rating: G
Summary: Based on the song
“I really can’t stay,” Colin insisted, reaching for his coat.
“Aw, baby – it’s cold outside,” Ryan protested. Colin smiled, shrugging into the coat. He touched Ryan’s cheek, gazing at him tenderly.
“Really, I’ve got to go. But this evening has been…”
“Your hands are like ice,” Ryan interrupted. He grasped them in his, grinning flirtatiously. “Let me hold them and warm them up.” He tugged at Colin, drawing him back into the living room. “Come on, what’s your hurry? We haven’t even finished the wine yet.”
Colin glanced at the coffee table, where the bottle and glasses winked invitingly in the glow of the Christmas tree lights. He hesitated. “Well… maybe just one more.”
Ryan smiled triumphantly, unbuttoning Colin’s coat for him. “Why don’t you put some music on while I pour?”
A short while later, Colin set down his empty wine glass. “All right, now I’ve really got to go. My parents are arriving early tomorrow for the holiday. You know how it is - if I’m not there when they get there, my mother will worry…”
Ryan slipped his arm around Colin’s shoulders, pulling him closer, as if he hadn’t spoken. “Listen to the fireplace roar,” he wheedled.
“Ryan.” Colin gave him a stern look and moved out of his embrace. He wobbled a little as he got to his feet. “Damn. What was in that drink, anyway?”
Ryan laughed, putting his hands on Colin’s shoulders to steady him. “You better stay.” He glanced out the window. “Anyway, look at that storm! You can’t drive home in this.”
“I’ll call a cab.”
“You’re not gonna get a cab in this weather. It’s a blizzard out there. Come on, Col - ”
Colin shook his head. “I told you – family obligations. Not just my parents, my brother and sister too. If they get there and can’t get in the house because I’m still with my boyfriend, I'll never hear the end of - ” He broke off as Ryan kissed him deeply, tasting of wine. “Oh, you’re delicious,” he sighed when they broke apart. “But now I’ve got to go home.”
“Come on, baby, you’ll freeze out there.” Ryan slipped his arms around Colin’s waist.
“What did you do with my coat?”
“Col, the snow’s gonna be up to your knees.”
Colin relaxed a little in Ryan’s embrace. “It really was a grand night,” he said, reaching up to touch his cheek. “You’re so nice and warm. But I’ve got to go.”
Ryan pouted. “How can you do this to me?” Colin silenced him with one more kiss, then broke away to find his coat. Ryan followed him.
“What if you catch pneumonia and die? Do you really want me to have to live with that?” he called plaintively as Colin headed to the door.
Colin rolled his eyes. “I gotta get out of here.” He reached for the door knob, but before he could turn it, Ryan lunged at him, pulling him into his arms and kissing him until his knees went weak.
Colin sagged against Ryan, the last of his resolve melting away as the taller man whispered into his ear between the kisses he was planting on Colin’s lips, cheeks, and neck. “Come on, baby…”
Colin sighed deeply, wrapping his arms around Ryan's neck. He knew when he was beaten.
“Okay. Okay, okay, okay…”

"Baby, It's Cold Outside" (as performed by Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton)
I really can't stay - Baby it's cold outside
I've got to go away - Baby it's cold outside
This evening has been - Been hoping that you'd drop in
So very nice - I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice
My mother will start to worry - Beautiful, what's your hurry
My father will be pacing the floor - Listen to the fireplace roar
So really I'd better scurry - Beautiful, please don't hurry
well Maybe just a half a drink more - Put some music on while I pour
The neighbors might think - Baby, it's bad out there
Say, what's in this drink - No cabs to be had out there
I wish I knew how - Your eyes are like starlight now
To break this spell - I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell
I ought to say no, no, no, sir - Mind if I move a little closer
At least I'm gonna say that I tried - What's the sense in hurting my pride
I really can't stay - Baby don't hold out
Ahh, but it's cold outside
C'mon baby
I simply must go - Baby, it's cold outside
The answer is no - Ooh baby, it's cold outside
This welcome has been - I'm lucky that you dropped in
So nice and warm - Look out the window at that storm
My sister will be suspicious - Man, your lips look so delicious
My brother will be there at the door - Waves upon a tropical shore
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious - Gosh your lips look delicious
Well maybe just a half a drink more - Never such a blizzard before
I've got to go home - Oh, baby, you'll freeze out there
Say, lend me your comb - It's up to your knees out there
You've really been grand - Your eyes are like starlight now
But don't you see - How can you do this thing to me
There's bound to be talk tomorrow - Making my life long sorrow
At least there will be plenty implied - If you caught pneumonia and died
I really can't stay - Get over that old out
Ahh, but it's cold outside
Baby it's cold outside
Brr its cold...
It's cold out there
Cant you stay awhile longer baby
Well... I really shouldn't... okay…
Okay… okay… okay…
