Notes:  Ryan’s POV from Cae’s suggestion: “I remember the day we met”.  I guess it’s the second in the series.  [EDIT] This drabble suggested by Sue.   Forgive my slackerness for not mentioning it before.  (is that a word?)

The way Jim talked him up, I expected to meet Gallagher or something.  Imagine my surprise when I met him for the first time.

6’ 2”.  Shorter than me, but almost all legs.  Thinning wavy brown hair, and the biggest, darkest eyes I’d ever seen.  And he was quiet as a church mouse.  Not exactly a candidate for the Johnny Carson show, right?  I don’t think he said ten words to me during our first encounter.

I thought, “This guy is going to do improv?  They’ll eat him alive!”

What the hell did I know, huh?  He made me work for any laughs I got.  Made me learn to listen and think fast.  No one gives him credit for that.  But it’s true.

He also filled an empty space in my heart.  I know, it’s mushy and stupid, but it’s true.  And I don’t know where I’d be today if Colin Mochrie hadn’t come into my life.

And I like the mention of Colin's long legs. Watching him and Ryan like the hawk that I am, I always find it funny that their beltlines often line up, or if not, Colin's is only an inch lower, but the top of his head ends around Ryan's eyeline. He really IS all legs.

Well, the truth about credit is, I meant to do it anyway, and somehow fucked it up. So I added it, but not to spite you, honest.

And I love that you (at least I think you have, or you have a really good instinct) use Ryan's words about Colin and how Colin helped him to learn improv. I read that one interview where he said that Colin taught him not to hog the stage, how to give and take, and most importantly, how to listen.

Plus I love how you added Ryan's doubt that a quiet man like Colin could do improv without getting "eaten alive". Guess he never heard that it's the quiet ones you need to look out for lol
