wl_fanfiction | Mod Post: Quick Reminder About Tagging

I've noticed a lot of new people lately, *waves to everyone* not to mention some fantastic new authors. But I've also noticed that not everyone is tagging. If you're a new author and don't yet have an author tag, that makes sense, but if you need a tag, ASK! ^_^ I may not post a lot anymore, but I'm always monitoring the comm, and if you PM me or even put a shout out in your post, I'll see it and I'll make sure you get what you need. That includes—but is not limited to—author tags, story tags for stories 3 chapters or more and rare pairings/characters that may not yet have their own tags yet.

When I catch tags missing, I often put them in myself, but I'm not going to catch every single one, so it's important that you, the author, make sure you tag your posts.

This place works in part as an archive, and it's only going to work that way if we have methods of searching for stories. If someone reads one of your stories and desperately needs more, then how else will they find it unless they're all tagged, right? ^_^

In short, tagging=good; not tagging=bad. :D

Blind/Sighted didn't get a story tag. *sigh*

It's been a very crap year - lost the father-in-law in Jan, my son and his wife had a 3 month preemie in June and he's STILL not been home, and in October my son was hit by a car on the way to his bus stop to go to work. (Major broken leg, the fault is apparently his and not the driver... who knew?)

On top of that I've been having health issues and a muse that has curled up and died in the corner.

Here's hoping that 2009 is a festival of positive things!

I love Blind/Sighted, it's really sad so far, one of the first fics I read, which I just adore!

I'm very sorry to hear about your losses and sadness this year. I hope things pick up for you really soon :)

Yeah, I totally don't remember those ones. I have been away a LOT lately, so it's plausible that I'm missing things. Multichaptered stories, especially, I don't even think about until I see that they have three or more chapters, and then I usually completely forget to do anything about it. :P Which is why it's best to ask.

I will go ahead and make those tags right away, and if you're ready for that flogging, I'll just go get my special paddle while I'm at it. ^_~
