I don’t wanna do this anymore. I don’t want to light this desk. I shine all the time, bright red, neon.

Yet no one notices me.

What kind of thankless existence is this? To be mounted on a piece of wood that sports a buzzer, and a doorbell. That man’s feet constantly pound on the other side, and threaten to burn me out.

If  I don’t get some recognition soon, I will burn out. On purpose. If only to be replaced so that I may retire.

Oh Look! Ryan’s head is coming toward me.

OW! OW! OW!

Well that hurt a little!!! Shards of my being scattered on the carpet, lost in those locks.

Was it worth the pain? Yes, for now everyone knows my name.
