drabble-mania!
I was bored this morning, and really didn't feel like updating my other story, so I turned up some iTunes (cause my stupid iPod is busted) and cranked out some drabbles. I love all of them.
1. Pick any character(s) or pairing(s) you like.
2.Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3.Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them
I mainly followed the rules except on Riot because I reallllly liked it. That's why it's so much longer.
Oh, and if you haven't realized by now, these four are my staple characters. I love them. I really tried to write a Ryan/Colin one, but it didn't come out very well, especially since I don't really...like them. ;)
Ice Box - There For Tomorrow (Brad/Chip)
Sitting on his small couch, Brad dropped his head, sighing a bit. He knew it wasn’t fair, but he couldn’t help it. It was like leaving a part of himself behind.
It wasn’t the same any more. It never was going to be. He was going to try to move on, but both he and Chip knew that he’d never be the same.
Jeff was always going to be there. In the back of his mind. Teasing as he walked away with Greg.
“You know, you could just forget about him. Obvious as it is, it might work.”
Brad turned his head to Chip, who had sat down silently next to him. Chip stared ahead, unmoving.
“He doesn’t care about you any more. Why waste your time?” Chip responded, grabbing Brad’s hand in his. Brad smiled a bit, feeling the hollowness in his chest begin to go away.
Sell Your Soul –
Jeff shot up, sweating and gasping for air. The room was dark, illuminated only by the light coming through the crack of the door. He took a few deep breaths, trying to regain his composure.
Another fucking dream. Another dream about them. All of them.
What was it about the other that made him feel so inferior? Yeah, they may have had 15 or more years on him in, but who were they, really? Not like they were God or something. They couldn’t keep making him feel like this. Like he was nothing.
Climbing out of bed, he walked to the bathroom and switched on the light.
He gripped the counter, staring into the mirror. He may not have been amazing, but he knew he didn’t deserve this. None of it. He couldn’t keep going on like this.
Should’ve Said No – Taylor Swift (Jeff/Greg)
Greg stopped short at the door of the apartment, trying to go over what he was going to say.
“Jeff, I’m sorry.”
”Jeff, I didn’t mean to.”
As he went over these words, he knew he couldn’t say them to him. They were lies. He had meant to and he wasn’t sorry. He’d just gone too far. They had been fighting, and just went overboard. Jeff went out, while Greg searched for comfort in the arms of Ryan.
Greg sighed, trying not to think of the look on Jeff’s face when he had found out. As he was, he didn’t hear the door swing open to reveal a surprised, then angry Jeff.
“Why are you here?”
“I – I wanted – to talk.” Greg felt himself lose all confidence he always had.
Jeff snorted in amusement. “Talking is something we should’ve done before you did what you did. Maybe you should’ve thought of that.” The door then slammed and the deadbolt clicked.
Greg stood there, thinking. He was a bit taken aback, but then again, he loved this part of him.
Crushcrushcrush – Paramore (Brad/Chip)
Chip sat at the bar, pondering his next move.
He had been watching him all night.
But watching only led to one thing.
Nothing.
He finished his drink and got up, walking over to him. He sat at the booth alone. Chip slid in, smiling. “So, all alone tonight?”
He smiled in return. “Nah. The other ones went to…well, I actually don’t know where they went. I just elected to stay behind.” He chuckled, looking back at Chip.
Chip nodded, eyes never leaving his face. “So, Brad, here’s a question, and I may be a bit upfront in this, but you know me well…” Chip started, beginning to laugh.
“That I do.”
Chip put a devious smile on his face. “Busy tonight?”
Back At Your Door – Maroon 5 (Chip/Jeff)
Lying on his bed, he knew it was over.
The screaming had ended hours ago, the bruise on his cheek had stopped hurting, and by now, he was long gone.
Jeff sat up, feeling numb. The last twelve hours had felt like a blur to him. He couldn’t even remember what the argument had been about. It just led to so many pent up things, and it blew up to something out-of-hand.
He began to head for the door, when he saw his shirt hanging on the back. Left there in a rush of the moment. Jeff sighed, grabbing it from the hook. He couldn’t keep it; it belonged to him.
When he found himself on Chip’s doorstep, knocking, shirt that he loved in hand, he wasn’t sure what to expect.
The door slowly opened to reveal Chip, standing in a position that mirrored Jeff’s. Jeff held out the shirt. As he started to hand it to Chip, Chip cupped Jeff’s face in his hand, fingering the small bruise that had been made by Chip’s temper.
“I’m sorry."
We Intertwined – The Hush Sound (Brad/Greg)
Brad, hidden in the shadows, slowly watched the two part.
Feeling a bit smug and overly confident, he walked up to Greg. “So, is he everything you had dreamed about and more?” Brad mocked, adding a fake swoon.
Greg shrugged. “I guess so. I mean, he’s gorgeous, you can give him that. But, he’s thirty. Inexperienced.”
Brad nodded, like he understood. He was glad it was dark, for it hid his smile well “Well, what do you really want?”
“Someone who can match me. Not someone I have to pull along.”
Brad continued to nod. “Well, if you want my expert advice on this subject, I’d look elsewhere.” Greg raised his eyebrow, intrigued. Brad swiftly planted his lips on Greg’s. When they parted, he simply smiled, and walked away.
Damaged – Danity Kane (Jeff/Greg)
Greg stood at his kitchen counter, putting the dishes away, trying to ignore the hollow feeling in his stomach. “Don’t think about him, Greg. He’s happy.”
Then, there was a knock at the door. Greg instinctively looked at the clock. 12:42. Who could possibly be at his house at this hour?
He dropped the dishes and walked to door, trying to think of something to say to whatever moron was knocking on his door. He swung the door open.
“You know, by the way the sky looks, I think it’s night time. So why don’t you – Jeff,” he muttered, instantly surprised.
Jeff stood there, looking back at Greg. “We had a fight. Well, more like a war. He kicked me out. This was the only place I could think to come. Sorry about not calling.”
Greg stood there, his mouth wide open. He ushered Jeff in. Jeff stood in the kitchen as Greg closed the door. “Greg…look, don’t be mad at Ryan. It’s both our faults.”
He was still silent, hand clutched on the doorknob. He hadn’t even thought about that. All he could think was that Jeff was in his house. After a break-up. In need of care.
Who cared about Ryan?
Riot – Three Days Grace (Greg/Everyone)
Sitting in his room before a taping of Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show, Greg tapped his fingers on his chin. He’d been watching old taping of Whose Line? and Britline this past week when some thought had struck him like lightning.
‘Everyone was in love with me.’
Greg smiled now when ever he thought of that. It was amusing to him. To think that everyone that he had ever worked with had developed some sort of romantic penchant towards him. Heck, he even had a relationship with some of them.
He got up from his chair and walked across the hall to Brad’s room. Knocking, he began to laugh. He ignored the people coming down the hall. Brad opened the door and as soon as he did, Greg grabbed his chin in both hands. He smashed their lips together for a hard kiss. They separated, leaving Brad stunned. Greg turned the other way. As he did, he heard Chip scramble into the room, beginning to yell at Brad.
Wandering down to Colin’s room he noticed the door was open. He saw Drew and Colin were in there, as well as Wayne and Ryan who’d come for a visit.
“Hey Greg!” they chorused.
Trying to keep a smile off of his face, he said to them, “Drew, Colin, what time should I expect you tonight? I have to make sure I get everything prepared for…you know, how you two like it. Especially me.” The atmosphere in the room immediately changed.
He smirked, turning on his heel, and walking back to his room. So it was true. Everyone had been in love with him. Not anymore though. Opening the door to his room, he was welcomed by a darkly dressed figure who stood with his arms crossed. “Exactly what have you done?”
Greg shrugged. “I was having a little fun.”
Jeff rolled his eyes. “Chip is going to kill you. You realize that. And you’re lucky that I’m not the jealous type.”
“Ha, you have no idea…”
